I am John 'Jack' Walton,webmaster of this site.
The details and dates contained herein are,in the main,correct although  
errors may have been transcribed in good faith.
Any offer of help in correcting such mistakes or filling in blank birth, 
marriage or death dates is welcome.
The 'older' photographs are sadly all I have so if anyone can help in 
that direction I would appreciate it.
Researching the family tree has been a journey of self discovery as I knew 
little at the outset, least of all the massive connection to the 
Northumberland 
coal field.
Thanks to lots of patience and help from all over the world it has progressed 
and will continue to do so although I doubt it will ever be complete !
Hopefully it will ensure that so many wonderful characters are not 
forgotten.
